Creating an atmosphere of victory

The decision to become a Christian is the first step of following Jesus Christ. Within this we are called to love God, love people which will be challenged from time to time because of circumstances and pressures of life. The very nature of becoming a Christian we have entered a battle between the forces of light (God's kingdom) and forces of darkness (Satan's realm of negative influences and lies). When we to live for Jesus the kingdom of darkness is going to try to pull us away from our commitments to Christ. Understanding this to be our present reality will help us to be more on guard that some of the things that is happening to us are the attacks of the enemy. In order for me to gain victory in these battles I must be conscious of setting an atmosphere of victory in my life. By this I mean there are some things that I can that will help me to be more spiritual sensitive, gain more godly wisdom and to give me the spiritual strength needed to have victory. They are called spiritual disciplines. I am only going to mentioned three although I could mention several more.

First, take time out daily to read your Bible and prayer. If I want to be spiritual aware and strong daily then I need to spend some time daily in my communication with my God.

Second, commit to faithful attendance in regular church services. This will help you to develop a heart of worship, provide times of teaching and training in God's Word and will help you to keep your focus of having God as number one in your life.

Third, be ready to share your witness with someone. Closely align with this will be our acts of service to others. We are called to be witnesses. If I do not fulfill one of the basic calls in my life of being a Christian then it is much easier to begin to compromise on other aspects of what it means to be a Christian.

These three things will help you to create an atmosphere of victory in your life as a Christian. This is clearly on the last word nor if you do these things will stop the war we are in but it will help you to live on the side of victory.
