"No king but King Jesus" was a motto during the Revolutionary war when they were rejected the rule of the king of England. One of the governors of the colonies spoke about that the people of the colonies were only going to serve one king and it was not the king of England but rather the king of the universe, Jesus Christ. That motto served them well and our nation was born. There was much early influence of the Christian faith upon the founding of America. The influence of Jesus was impacting their personal lives, political lives and their business lives. Let us examine ourselves today to know what the huge influencers are in our lives. As a follower of Jesus Christ, Jesus ought to be the biggest influence in my life and when I allow the world undo influence then I will tend to view my present circumstances from a worldly point of view rather then a biblical point of view. Jesus is King. Jesus created this world we live in and some day He is coming back to set up His kingdom and there is no one or no thing that is going to stop Him because His name is King of kings and Lord of lords. I have the opportunity to set Jesus as my personal king now and if I begin to truly make Jesus King and live by kingdom rules, Jesus promised to be with me and love me which will give me the assurance of His favor on my life. Now there is nothing more pleasing in the big picture of life then having His favor upon my life, my family and my church. May God grant all of us His grace and strength so we make Jesus King in our lives.
