Open letter to Bethel

I am thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to serve Bethel A/G as their pastor.  I am thankful for the faith of the people that is express day after day in what they are believing God to do for them personally and for the church.  I pray for you consistently that God's loving presence will surround you and grant to us an increase of the working of His Spirit within our hearts and lives.  I pray that we will walk in the will of God and do mighty exploits for the kingdom of God.  My desire for you is that you will walk in the victory that has already been provided for us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  My hunger and desire to see God work among us has never been stronger and I have received the assurance of our Heavenly Father that we will experience an increase in many areas of church life this church.  The enemy (Satan) wants to kill, steal and destroy what God is doing in our midst but he will lose and Jesus will win.  That is our assurance through the precious Word of God that we will be victorious through Christ our Lord and Savior.
Be encouraged that greater is He that is in us then he that is in the world.  If God is for us who can be against us.  We will have a great year as we trust in Jesus and not in our ability or programs.  Our future is great because we serve a great God.  Let us work together this year as one team with one goal, with the passion of the Spirit and not as group of individuals.  The goal for Bethel is to become a strong, stable Pentecostal church in this community and we fulfill that goal through our missions statement of Loving God, Loving People, Called to Serve.   As we all work together this year we will become stonger and more stable and more Pentecostal.
May of God of love and mercy be with us.

Pastor John
