There are some people who are captivated by the mystery of this airlines in the East. It has been over a week now and still no one knows exactly what has happened and who done what. This thought prompted the thought of why is the truth so hard to believe? The authorities had some information early on and did not share it. Whether it was the pilots or some passengers there was the feelings that they could not have done anything but now it seems that at least one of the pilots could be involved and now they are considering the two from Iran with false passports as well. By the time you read this that information may change. My point here why we do at times have a tendency to dismiss something as truthful before we examine all the facts. The spiritual connection is clear. There are many Christians (at least they call themselves Christians) dismiss the gifts of the Spirit, some dismiss that extraordinary things can happen in a move of God, some dismiss the reality of demons, some do not even believe in hell and the list goes on and one. When the Lord reached down to save me, He gave me a desire to know the truth. I have done and will continue feed that desire and be willing to change whatever I may need to change to align myself up with the truth. So the question remains for many why is it so hard to believe the truth? First, in search for the truth it means I have been wrong and we do not like to be wrong so we at times would rather believe a lie then the truth. Second, it means I must change things in my life. Some people find it difficult if not nearly impossible to change. God will help us to change but we still need to be willing to change. Third, the truth means accountability in our actions, that is if there is truth then there is right and wrong which then means reward or punishment. This thought does not fit the philosophy of this world but it does fit the truth that is found in the Bible. Fourth, there are times it is easier to live in a fantasy world then in the real world. The easy road and ways of life are often the most dangerous ones. Being on the road of truth is not easy but it is with the promises of God who will never leave us nor forsake us.
May our hearts and mind seek the truth of God and believe the truth and then act upon the truth.
