This week is called Passion Week by the church world. Within this week Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on a donkey becoming worshiped as the King of Israel, chased the money changers out of the temple, ate the Passover meal with His disciples which is now call the Last Supper, taught His disciples how to love, abide and wait upon the Holy Spirit, prayed for His disciples and the world, betrayed by one of His 12 Apostles, put on trail though He was innocent, mocked and forsaken, beaten and crucified on a cross, buried in a borrowed tomb and His final act was resurrection from the dead. That is quite a week for one man to experience. Although that is impressive none of it would have any meaning if Jesus is not the One and Only. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to me by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men - the testimony given in its proper time." I Timothy 2:5 "Therefore since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess." Hebrews 5:14 I could easily quote many other verses that clearly portray Jesus Christ as the One and Only. Jesus is God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and then gave His life as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. John the Baptist at the baptism of Jesus declared that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus came from the Father and when His work was completed He returned to the Father. Everything that the Bible says about Jesus is true and faithful. I encourage you this week to take some time to meditate upon all that Jesus has accomplished for you in that one week we now call Passion Week. Only Jesus is the Savior, only Jesus was God who became a man, only Jesus is coming back to set up His kingdom and there is only one way to heaven where God dwells which is through Jesus my Lord and Savior.
May your faith arise more and more as you firmly hold on the truth that Jesus is the One and Only.
