Jesus Light of the World

The Christmas season brings out many decorations of lights.  There are some people who are trying to remove Jesus out of this season or they just refuse to celebrate Christmas.  Jesus is the Creator and Jesus is the source of all life whether or not they believe that or accept it.  John 1:3-5 "Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.  In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it."  I believe the Bible is the Word of God to all us whether or not we understand it or not.  I believe Jesus is the light of the world and every light that people put up during this season is a symbol that the true light has come into the world.  Many people just see the beauty of the decorations, I choose to see every light as a symbol of Jesus.  I owe my existence to Jesus, He is my light and my life.  I can not truly live without Him.  Jesus said in John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy but I have come that you may have life and life abundantly."  There are forces of darkness that are trying to keep people from seeing the light of the gospel of Jesus.  Our enemy choose to rebel against God and the consequence of that rebellion was to be thrown out of heaven and into darkness.  The concept of darkness is basically the absence of the recognition of God's presence and power.  God created us in His image, we are not products of evolution but a creation of God design to have fellowship with our Creator in a special way.  Sin has distorted creation and sin now keeps people in darkness.  This week we celebrate the birth of Jesus, Son of God coming in the flesh to dwell among us.  Only Jesus lived a sinless life and who died on the cross for the sins of the world.  Jesus rose from the grave and is alive forevermore shining His light upon the whole creation.  Let's celebrate the true Light coming into the world by placing our faith and confidence in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Let's trust Jesus as our light who promised to lead and guide us to our eternal home with Him.  Let's recognize His light and allow Him to transform us into the people of God who please their Creator.
May the light of God's love shine brightly this Christmas season upon your life.  May we spend some time meditating upon His love and light that we will understand Jesus and His Word from the heart.
