As I begin another week I have become more aware over this last weekend how important relationships are during difficult times. Not only is there a lot of stress because of the economic down turn but as the day of the Lord approaches the attacks of the enemy will become more fierce and frequent. How will one navigate through these times if they are struggling with some of their closest relationships at the same time. I am not an expert on relationships by any means because I have made many mistakes in that area throughout the years but I know a God who has never made a mistake in that area that if I am willing will help me to develop stronger relationships that will help me in difficult times. If relationships are important and they are then the first step is making a commitment to do whatever it takes to strengthen them. Allow me to say the first and most important relationship is with your Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, who is to be the foundation of all your relationships. Spend time with Him everyday and share your heart with Him because He understands what you are going through. Then commit to God and yourself that you will be diligent to foster better relationships with those you love. If these relationships are strong we will be able to weather whatever difficulties we may have to face. May God's love and peace strengthen you.
